Key Benefits

  • Robust tool set enables Unisys programs and applications to interact and update distributed SQL Servers; e.g. Oracle, IBI's EDA Server, various web servers, etc.
  • Supports DMS, RDMS, PCIOS data replication and migration.

   Capabilities

InterPlex remote service supplies access to network databases from a Unisys mainframe.  SQL is passed from local mainframe programs through InterPlex to affect updates and fetches on remote relational databases. These SQL statements are available for use in your BATCH and TIP programs and applications and can be included an any new and existing application code that needs access to the enterprise's remote distributed databases.  Communications and data normalization between the mainframe processes and the distributed databases are maintained by InterPlex.  Various remote databases and multiple application threads can be serviced with connection states preserved and database integrity is ensured.  All SQL statements are translated into the remote distributed database's native calls and then executed.  Any informational or warning indications are returned to the soliciting process for display or logging purposes.
